M-CONNECT binding posts were also developed to meet the most exacting demands in mechanical< precision and electro-acoustic quality.
They are available in various dimensions, and are offered as manufactured from different materials: In addition to the brass version, we also offer models made of pure copper and gold-coated copper. The copper terminals are twisted from a massive piece of OFC copper. The advantage of copper in comparison with brass lies in its atomic structure: Brass has a core magnetic resonance frequency of 22 KHz. And so this already moves very much in the proximity of the audio range, and is often noticeable as an undesirable harshness in the sound impression. The more difficult - and thus more expensive - to manufacture terminals made of copper do not have this property and therefore sound more natural and relaxed.

Our fork cable lugs are made from the purest OFCcopper.
The acoustic advantages are described in the
chapter on pole terminals. Even large cable cross-sections
can be processed. Because soft copper is unsuitable
for the use of threads, we have decided to use a
soldered connection between the lug and the cable.
