In 1969, Oskar Heil applied for a patent for his so called ‚Air Motion Transformer‘ (AMT) principle. Af- ter termination of the patents this transducer principle has been taken

over and further developed< by several other manufacturers. In 2005, Mundorf also started the further development of the AMT with special attention to the Pro Audio

field. Nowadays, Mundorf Pro AMT form admittedly part of the best made and tonally leading tweeter throughout the world, both in the HiFfi and the ProAudio field.
